Greetings Everyone, I hope you are managing to stay cool these days because it sure is hot out there. I want to first thank everyone who came out for Project Graduation last month. We had a great time dealing casino games to a room full of teenagers. A special thanks to Dana Peles for bringing her soon to be husband Jeremy along to deal craps for us. Another shout-out to everyone who helped sort cards and money afterwards – it saved me a significant amount of time and made packing up the next day so much easier. I hope you guys had a great time and already have the second Thursday in June 2011 on your calendars.
Our July event just took place this weekend. We baked cookies for the Durham Habitat’s Bull Moon Ride rest stops. Another big thanks to everyone who made some goodies. The Habitat folks were super appreciative and I know the riders enjoyed noshing on our tasty treats. There are many more ways for you get involved in community development coming up over the next couple months. The biggest of these being joining the planning committee for this year’s haunted house. Rebecca King and Ben Swearingen will be chairing the house and I know they would love any help you can provide. emails and announcements from them soon. Thanks and have a great rest of July!!!
