Its ranks have included three former Durham mayors, several City Councilmen, County Commissioners, State Legislators and countless local business leaders. Membership in the organization provides a valuable link to these leaders and the next generation of Durham leaders. The organization has also been a vital philanthropic force in the community for years and has been pivotal in the betterment of Durham. Some of our past projects are discussed in the History of the Durham Jaycees section of the website. Key projects today include the Haunted House, the Spaghetti Dinner and the Holiday Shopping Tour.
